Advertising. The App is free and shows banner ads supplied by Google AdMob. We do not share the data you give us (display name, bracket picks, favourite team) with advertisers, and we do not build advertising profiles ourselves. AdMob may, however, use a device advertising identifier to serve and measure ads in line with Google's advertising policies. Where required by law (for example in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), the App asks for your consent before serving personalised ads, and you can choose to see non-personalised ads instead.
The App uses the following Firebase services, all operated by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA):
| Service | What it stores / does |
|---|---|
| Firebase Authentication | Issues an anonymous UID to your device. No email or password required. |
| Cloud Firestore | Stores your bracket, score, and display name in the cloud so the leaderboard works across devices. |
| Firebase Hosting | Serves this privacy policy page and any future web content. |

The App displays banner advertisements through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, the AdMob SDK may collect a device advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad-interaction events (impressions and clicks). AdMob acts as an independent controller of this advertising data; we do not send it your display name, bracket picks, or favourite team.
How Google uses data from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can reset or limit ads personalisation in your device settings (on Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
Live scores, match stats, and fixture schedules are fetched from a third-party football data provider (API-Football). This API is called server-side by our Cloud Functions — your personal data is never sent to the football data provider. Only our server credentials are used in these requests.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
We may disclose information only in the following limited circumstances:
Your bracket, score, and profile data are stored in Firestore until you request deletion (see Your Rights) or until we shut down the service, whichever comes first.
Anonymous UIDs issued by Firebase Authentication persist on your device. Uninstalling the App removes the local credential; you would receive a new anonymous UID on reinstall. Data associated with the old UID remains in Firestore until deleted.
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email address in Section 11.
EU/EEA users: You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority if you believe your data has been processed unlawfully.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it promptly.
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data:
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100 % secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify users via an in-app banner. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
